Critters Ever After Congrats

I have what is now an empty box where I keep cards partially made up in case I need one in kind of a hurry for someone. I take the card out, then finish it off. These usually start out as images I want to play with... in this card, I had gotten my first gelatos and wanted to play with coloring some ADORABLE Lawn Fawn Images. Critters Ever After is a stamp set that I reach or over and over again for all sorts of cards.

This card started out as a scrap of Cosmo Cricket paper, on a kraft card base with the dragon and crown from the stamp set in place.

Then I added some Washi from Pinkfresh Studio that I won from participating with Clique Kits. Those letters, They are Cosmo Cricket as well... Tiny Type. Those gold stars are from Pretty Little Studio and came in my August Clique Kit.

This just wasn't enough, I knew as soon as I started looking at the photo... so I didn't get a better one, I just started adding some more stuff. Actually I just added Three stickers from the Highline collection by Basic Grey. And then, I thought it was Perfect!

I JUST LOVE how this turned out! Let me know what you think! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Awesome Camp Mini

I was so inspired by the August Pep Rally. Everyone had such awesome projects, and I've never seen a kit that was so ready to be a mini album. I finally made a mini with Glam Camp... I had a picture in my mind as soon as I saw that little deer that it needed to be featured along with one of those amazing burlap bows on a mini! Here is what I came up with:

I had those kraft thought bubble stickers in my stash, I thought they worked great as journalling spots with this collection.

I'm sending this album to my sister, she is a camp counsellor and youth group leader and they just got back last month from this year's camp. I hope she likes it. The pages are kind of plain, but there is room for photos and journalling on every page, and on the inside of the back cover, I have utilized some of the awesome packaging that our supplies come in to make a pocket that can hold extra photos, personal journalling, scripture or anything else she might want to put inside a pocket. I still have a good amount of goodies left from this kit, so you may get one more mostly Glam Camp project before my next kit comes... I can't WAIT to get my hands on it... you need to see the peeks!!!

Works in progress 8/23

I've been kind of a busy gal lately, what with getting in my submission to be on the FIRST EVER Clique Kits Design Team if you are reading this on 8/23, you have one more day to submit!! I am anxiously awaiting news... and working on a couple of projects.

I'm making my own mini from Glam Camp which is the August 2014 kit from Clique Kits. Here is as far as I am right now...
I've cut down all the pages and "started" the cover. I've also started another pocket style album. This one is very, very special as it is documenting my own business!!! I'm a consultant for Pure Romance and SO EXCITED about this new adventure in my life! I've had so much fun working on my Clique Into Summer album that I decided to use this style album to document my journey with my own business (let me know if you want more info).

Here is a sneaky of this album:

And on that note, I've also been working on some business stuff with my scrappy goodies. One of the products I sell is a candle that melts into massage oil, it's called Burning Desire. It comes in a chalkboard style candle holder that even has a piece of chalk so you can write on it. I cut some words out of vinyl just for demo purposes, so people can handle the candle and still read the words.

I'm having so much fun! Tuesday's post should be the completed mini using Glam Camp so be sure and stop by and see how it turned out.

August 2014 Pep Rally Featuring Glam Camp!

Hold on to your hats everyone, this kit has me thinking of the 80's and the 60's... in particular the time I'm thinking of the summer that I first saw the movie Dirty Dancing, that floral print in the kit reminds me of fabric of my favorite dresses from that summer and how we combined plaids with florals and polka dots.... yummo just like this kit! I LOVE IT! If you are just arriving from Alisha's blog, welcome! If you were just popping by to see me, then you should REALLY go through the blogroll and catch up!

I have a mini album in mind for these papers and embellies, but first I wanted to alter something that I haven't seen altered in this way, I found some slide carousels at a thrift store for less than two dollars and I bought both of the ones they had, ideas spinning like mad through my mind. They are perfect for holding tiny tags and bits of ephemera and you could use them as countdown calenders, as a roladex, for holding journalling prompts or for holding quotes. LOTS of ideas here...

Here is the box that my Carousel came in:

Here is a view from the top, partially loaded. The tags in the middle are ready to be filled out and dropped in the slots. I've used cut files from Clique Kits and other cut files I had for my silhouette and also tickets and ephemera and scrap paper that I used a punch to make tags for the slots, they are just about two inches wide and I think they are fabulous!

And here is a view from the front.

I am just TICKLED at the way it turned out! Let me know what you think... I had SO MUCH FUN!

Here is the blogroll for today in case you missed it:

July beginnings of my Clique into Summer Album!

So I've had some time away from the blog to make some summer memories lately and I finally got a chance to batch print my July pics and get started on my July pages for my summer album. I'm LOVING this album and this class by Clique Kits, I have done most of the lessons, I don't have a typewriter for one of them, but I'm working on a "work around."

Here is my pocket page with a take on lesson 7 which is using cork.

This little page kind of sums up how I've been using this whole album, first of all it uses items directly from my Clique into Summer kit, that label sticker has been in my stash for MONTHS and I'm so happy to find a place to use it. The die-cut is leftover from cuts I made using the April cut-files from Clique Kits. Those photos are from my phone, like most of the photos in this album. They aren't the best photos, but they are awesome for helping me remember my July 4th from this year. I am about to start putting photos into another 6x8 album, this one will be all about my new business with Pure Romance and I can't wait to get started (by the time you read this, that album will be underway!

Happy Birthday!

I'm still making cards! I have finally printed my July photos so I can catch up on my summer album and I JUST got my new Clique Kit to play with and it is AWESOME!! Here is my card for today. This card features the stamp set Bon Voyage from Lawn Fawn and Happy Birthday from Paper Smooches. I colored the images with Gelatos.

The paper is from Crate Paper Boys Rule Collection and Basic Grey Capture. The Polaroid image is from Say Cheese which is my ALL TIME favorite and most used Stamp set from Lawn Fawn. That 3x4 card is from Boys Rule as well. The Washi tape came from a past Clique Kit. Thanks so much for dropping by!!!

Happy Birthday Gia from Clique Kits!

Welcome to Gia's Birthday Blog Share! If you have come from Alisha's blog then welcome, if not the hop starts over at Clique Kits so why don't you go by and have a look.

So happy today to share a special birthday card with you for GIA of Clique Kits. I've combined supplies from my July Kit with Supplies from my Summer School Kit and supplies from my stash to make this card in honor of Gia!

I hope your day is wonderful! Love everything you do!!!

That map is a 4x6 diecut card from studio calico and it's made from vellum, the stickers are where the adhesive is that's holding it down.  This card is kind of simple but I love those blues with the pop of red and that gold. The Birthday Wishes stamp is from Paper Smooches and their style is totally Clique Kits... or at least the way I do it ;)

Thanks for hopping along!
